Glastonbury 2015: Jess Glynne forced to cancel performance due to vocal surgery

Jess Glynne has been forced to cancel a number of UK dates including her Glastonbury performance to have surgery on her vocal chords.

The “Right Here” singer had to pull out of The Isle of Wight festival at the weekend due to illness, with Ella Eyre stepping in to replace her at short notice.

The 25-year-old wrote on Instagram: “I am so so sad to tell you that I’m having to have vocal surgery next week. I’m so sorry and it kills me but I have to cancel some forthcoming shows and festivals.”

Glynne will no longer appear at Wireless, T in the Park and Splendour, with no news yet about Brighton Pride, V Festivals and Fushion Festival.

The surgery will reportedly be carried out by the same doctor who recently treated Sam Smith for the same vocal chord problem.

The Glastonbury line-up continues to shake-up, with Mark Ronson recently confirming Boy George will join him on stage for his set.
