Ariana Grande let off over licking charges
Ariana Grande’s doughnut licking video will not lead to any criminal charges, Californian police have said.
Police in Lake Elsinore, California said that the owner of Wolfee Donuts, where the incident took place, has decided not to press any charges against the Bang Bang singer, who was caught on video tasting two doughnuts she didn’t buy on July 4.
The authorities say their investigation was primarily to help the Department of Health, which lowered the restaurant’s grade from an ‘A’ to a ‘B’ for leaving the tray of doughnuts exposed.
Ariana issued two long YouTube apologies for her actions as well as saying: “I hate Americans. I hate America” in the video.
The 22-year-old star said she was “disgusted” with herself and wanted to “disappear” after TMZ posted the video in the second of her two YouTube apologies posted last week.
