Adele's creative heartbreak

Adele admits she's only creative when she's "momentarily depressed".

The 'Someone Like You' singer has been dubbed the queen of the break-up songs thanks to her heartfelt lyrics and says her previous heartbreak has helped her write some of her best music.

Speaking about her post break-up routine, Adele - who has a three-year-old son, Angelo, with long-term partner Simon Konecki - confessed: "I mope around for a little while. I do embrace the fact that I'm heartbroken. I don't move on quickly. I don't know if that's because it seems that I'm only really creative when I'm a bit momentarily depressed."

Meanwhile, Adele has seen her third album '25' top the British charts again following her performance at Glastonbury over the weekend.

Despite being released back in November 2015, the record-breaking LP has shot up 13 places in the official charts, with sales increasing 176 per cent compared with the same period last week.

Her second album '21' has climbed 58 places to number nine, while her debut record '19' is currently at number 13.

During her 90-minute performance at the world-famous festival, Adele swore 33 times, despite a warning from the BBC to keep her language in check.

She told the crowd: "The BBC had to give me a warning about my potty mouth."

And Adele, 28, then said that another of the festival's headline acts, Muse, are unlikely to have been given the same advice.

She quipped: "I bet Muse didn't get that!"

While Adele's set drew a generally positive reaction from fans and critics, her expletive-riddled statements proved to be rather more controversial, with lots of fans taking to social media to voice their disapproval at her course language.
