The 'Hurts' hitmaker, whose full name is Adele Emily Sande, was forced to change her name when pop superstar Adele became a household name, but her parents and those close to her don't refer to her as Emeli. She said: "My parents call me Adele. Everyone that knows me before I moved to London and started music calls me Adele." The 29-year-old singer had never known another Adele until the 'Hello' singer came along, but she has learnt to enjoy her new moniker. Emeli told The Sun newspaper: "It was weird, I had never met someone called Adele before and then that happened. Adele is me when I'm not singing. But Emeli is fun - I'm enjoying it." The Scottish songstress was a renowned songwriter under her real name before Adele stole it. Asked why she made the name change, she previously said: "I just thought, you've kind of taken the name now, so I went with my middle name. She was just getting bigger and bigger, so I thought I just really need it." In November 2015, Adele released her album '25', which forced Emeli to delay her new LP, which comes out on November 11, so it didn't clash with Adele's. The singer's longtime producer Naughty Boy previously revealed: "They can't go against each other. Nobody wants to. "Adele's album is coming in September and labels have cleared their schedules because they know it's going to wipe the floor. "Emeli's album is coming out next year now. It sounds amazing."
