NewsNovember, 11 Phil Collins Genesis Reunion May HappenCould Phil Collins and Genesis get back together? He says it may occur. Phil has stated that he is more than willing to go into negotiations with his former Genesis mates Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks, if they wished to hit the road again. The group sold multi-millions of albums and a reunion would be a sure-fire sell-out arena tour if it happened. Collins says that it was recalling the way the trio worked in the studio and on tour for his book that brought them to mind. He now misses the spontaneous way they worked and how exciting those studio recordings were. "We, I was reminded, had something special. The three of us went in there and it was never one writer/artist dominating. We all pitched in. We may have had nothing to start with, but it became something and we kept playing until it worked." "We'd record it and come back to it a few weeks later and from there songs would develop. That is pretty special, to have a relationship with guys that can do that. So I wouldn't rule it (a reunion) out." He said. Phil Collins is perhaps one of the most well-known UK singer-songwriters and made his name as not only a member of the band Genesis, but as a solo star as well. He even tackled the world of acting in the acclaimed movie Buster. The drummer/singer/songwriter had pretty much put himself into self-imposed retirement until this past year. Collins was said to be having physical issues to his decades of drumming and live shows were a thing of the past. So fans were left to embrace his music via CD and video stream. Now we seem to be seeing a whole new chapter in his life as he is back and making his presence known. Whatever happened to the performer (in his personal/professional life recently) it has seen him rejuvenated and we not only have a very interesting autobiography, but a newly released remastered back catalogue and sell-out 2017 live show announcement too. Phil Collins – Not Dead Yet (The Autobiography) is available now and there are singles collections, vinyl releases and albums all available too.
