Perrie Edwards slaps radio host after his text dumping revelation

Perrie Edwards slapped a French radio host after he revealed he had once dumped a partner via text message.

The Little Mix singer was famously dumped by text by her former One Direction fiance Zayn Malik, who called time on their four-year romance with an electronic message.

Sebastien Cauet, who interviewing the girl band for his radio show C'Cauet on French radio station NRJ, perhaps have known better to make the revelation.

After he made the admission in French, the translator on hand revealed Cauet had confessed to dumping an ex via text message.

Her mouth falling open in shock, Perrie then reached back and delivered a hard slap on Cauet's cheek, as the crowd chanted "Perrie, Perrie" in the audience.

Realising she may have gone too far, Perrie grinned before going back to giving Cauet a hug, making it clear she was just joking.

Perrie previously confirmed reports that Zayn had ended their relationship with a text as she wrote about the end of the engagement in the new Little Mix book, Our World.

"It was horrible, the worst time in my life," a leaked passage from the book reads. "A four year relationship, two year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that."

"Even though things in my career were going really well it was incredibly difficult for me."

The book revelation comes after Zayn previously denied he dumped Perrie via text, telling Fade magazine: "If you could word it exactly this way, I'd be very appreciative. I have more respect for Perrie than to end anything over text message.”

Since Zayn split from Perrie he has gone on to date model Gigi Hadid. Blonde beauty Perrie has enjoyed brief romances with stars including television actor Luke Pasqualino, but appears to be enjoying playing the field for the moment.
