NewsDecember, 10 Adele fight back against ticket toutsAdele is taking a stand against ticket touts. The 28-year-old singer has joined forces with Twickets, a fan-to-fan ticket resale platform that operates with a face-value policy, for her Wembley shows next year. Adele has appointed Twickets the official resale partner for her concerts in a bid to stop secondary sites selling on tickets to her shows at vastly inflated prices. A note on the official page for her Wembley dates on June 28, 29 and July 1 and 2 states: "Adele ticket holders who can no longer attend a show may sell them on to other fans through Twickets at no more than the price they originally paid." Only fans whose names are on the tickets will be allowed into the shows and the only way to change the name on a ticket is through Twickets. Twickets owner Richard Davies said: "Venues will only accept resale tickets where the person's name matches the name on the tickets. The only place you can legitimately change the name on the ticket is on Twickets." Twickets is available on web, mobile and social media and is the official resale solution for artists such as Mumford & Sons, One Direction, The 1975, and Catfish and the Bottlemen, as well as some of the UK's leading festivals. Twickets protects its users with a guarantee against fraud and overpricing and serves to steer fans away from the exploitative secondary ticketing platforms.
