Susan Boyle 'set to launch Las Vegas residency in epic live music comeback'
Fans of live music and gambling will soon be able to see Susan Boyle in action in Sin City as the Scottish star is heading to Las Vegas.
The 60-year-old chart topping star is being given a spotlight at the Luxor Hotel as part of a huge deal orchestrated by Simon Cowell.
Susan shot to fame back in 2009 after featuring on Britain’s Got Talent and blowing away the judges with her iconic performance of the Les Miserables song I Dreamed A Dream.
Now she is set to entertain live audiences in Vegas as part of a residency organised by 61-year-old Simon in celebration of America’s Got Talent.
While SuBo won over the world on BGT, she did feature in the line-up of contestants on the 2019 series of America’s Got Talent: The Champions.
Explaining the upcoming Vegas shows, a source told The Sun on Sunday: “Susan is really excited to be asked and she is hoping to head over to the US in November to perform if she can.
“She has been holed up in Scotland during the pandemic but she is desperate to get back out there singing again. She loves working – and she could definitely be tempted by some sequins.”
Meanwhile the star herself told the publication she is looking forward to many more years on stage and in the charts.
She said: “Look at one of my idols, Elaine Paige. She’s 73 and still performing. I love what I do and want to keep doing it – so long as the public enjoys it. I’m going to hang on for dear life to what I do.”
She added that lockdown has left her raring to get back on stage.
She said: “I’ve not been able to do too much. But that will change later. I’m always an optimist. It’s been tough going.
“I’ve had days when I’ve felt low or stuck in a rut, or bored of staring at the same four walls. But everyone’s been in the same boat.”
Susan's last album was her top 5 selling compilation album Ten, celebrating her decade in music in 2019 – while past albums The Gift and I Dreamed A Dream have topped the charts in both the UK and USA.
