NewsApril, 9 Jelly Roll wins Global Literacy Award![]() Jelly Roll has received the Global Literacy Award at the World Literacy Summit, celebrating his global influence on literacy. The country singer has been honoured with one of the summit's most prestigious awards "in recognition of his contributions", according to the official website. The Save Me singer joined hundreds of literacy advocates, authors, educators and other professionals at the 2025 summit in Oxford, England. He took the stage to share his story in a presentation titled The Journey of a Little Boy from Broken to Beautifully Broken. His keynote address and subsequent Q&A highlighted his journey, starting in a juvenile justice system at age 15, to empowering young people through education, earning his GED while incarcerated and involvement with institutions that encourage literacy and education. The organisation shared that it had chosen to present the singer with the award because he "acts as an advocate for improving foundational literacy within the justice system domestically and internationally, especially among young offenders, through educational programs and resources". Jelly Roll recently headlined Florida's Tortuga Music Festival, on the heels of his hit Liar spending six weeks at number one. He's a triple nominee for the 60th ACM Awards in May and a contender for Entertainer of the Year.
