Green Day poke fun at Charli XCX Coachella 'feud'

Green Day have jokingly responded to a feud between their fans and Charli XCX over who should be headlining the Coachella music festival.

On the event's first weekend last week Charli upset Green Day devotees by wearing a sash at an afterparty that read "Miss Should Be Headliner", as she was on before the punk rockers' headline slot.

Ahead of their show on Saturday, the band's drummer Tré Cool responded to the fan feud by sporting an "Actual Headliner" sash in a backstage photo shared by his wife, Sara Rose Wright, on her Instagram Stories page.

Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong went on to show Tré's dig at Charli was meant in good spirits as he donned a cap bearing Charli's lime green 'Brat' branding.
