NewsJune, 27 Lewis Capaldi releases comeback single after two-year hiatus![]() Lewis Capaldi has released a comeback single after a two-year break from music. On Friday, the Scottish singer-songwriter delighted fans by releasing his new song, Survive, after spending two years out of the spotlight to focus on his mental health. The emotional ballad, which he co-wrote with RØMANS - who also worked on his 2019 smash hit Someone You Loved - outlines his experiences with mental health struggles. In the song, he sings, "Most nights I fear that I'm not enough/I've had my share of Monday mornings when I can't get up/I swear to God I'll survive, if it kills me to/I'm gonna get up and try, if it's the last thing I'll do." In June 2023, the singer announced that he would be taking a break from his career following health issues, including his Tourette's syndrome diagnosis. He said that he needed "to spend much more time getting my mental and physical health in order". Three days before announcing the hiatus, Lewis shocked fans at Glastonbury when he struggled through his set on the Pyramid Stage. Following the release of the new track, fans are convinced that the 28-year-old will perform it during a secret set at Glastonbury on Friday. When this year's festival line-up was announced, many people noticed gaps for artists who had not yet been announced. Additionally, fans have spotted billboards featuring lyrics from Lewis's new song in his hometown of Glasgow, Scotland, and in Castle Cary, near Glastonbury in England. Glastonbury kicked off on 25 June and concludes on Sunday 29 June.
