NewsSeptember, 18 Bob Dylan joins Willie Nelson's Farm Aid 40 lineup![]() Bob Dylan is set to join the all-star lineup at Farm Aid 40. The music legend will take the stage on 20 September at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, festival organisers have announced. Dylan will be featured on the bill headlined by Farm Aid's board members - Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young, Dave Matthews and Margo Price - along with Kenny Chesney, Billy Strings, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Lukas Nelson, and more. Dylan, who has been touring with Nelson this summer as part of the Outlaw Music Festival, last played the Farm Aid stage in Indiana 2023, as a surprise guest. Farm Aid is marking four decades of advocacy for America's independent family farmers. It was Dylan, from the Philadelphia stage of the Live Aid benefit for African famine relief in 1985, who commented: "I hope that some of the money that's raised for the people in Africa, maybe they can just take a little bit of it and use it to pay the mortgages on some of the farms that the farmers here owe to the banks?" Nelson later recalled to Billboard, "The question hit me like a ton of bricks." With a lead time of just six weeks, Nelson staged the first all-star Farm Aid concert on 22 September that same year.
