NewsMarch, 28 Olivia Rodrigo 'dying to go' to Glastonbury as regular festivalgoer
Olivia Rodrigo is "dying" to return to Glastonbury festival as a regular audience member. The Good 4 U singer made her performance debut at the iconic British festival in 2022 and returned three years later as the Sunday night headliner on the main Pyramid Stage. Olivia, who received widespread acclaim for her hit closing set last June, was spotted in the crowd watching other bands over that weekend, however, she wasn't able to fully enjoy the experience because her upcoming performance was on her mind. Reflecting on her 2025 experience, Olivia told British Vogue that she would like to attend Glastonbury in a non-performer capacity. "I didn't think I would get it (a headline slot) for (at least) another five years... All of my family and friends came from America to watch," she shared. "I'm dying to go as a viewer, because this year I was so f**king nervous for the show I didn't get to enjoy the festival." During her set, the 23-year-old performed hits including Drivers License, Vampire and Good 4 U, and was joined by surprise guest, The Cure's Robert Smith. Together, they sang two of his band's songs, Friday I'm in Love and Just Like Heaven. The musician revealed to the publication that they've remained friends since the performance and have even worked together in the studio. "She calls me up quite a bit to talk about clothes and fashion - and we have enjoyed a couple of memorable nights in the studio together... I can't wait to hear what she does next!" he wrote. Of her first two albums, Sour and Guts, he added, "Although most of the songs on those two albums are not really 'aimed at my demographic'(!), they are all so good that it is hard not to fall in love with them." Olivia is currently working on her third album. The title and release date have not yet been announced.
