NewsMarch, 31 Blackpink's Lisa announces Las Vegas residency
Lisa from the South Korean girl group Blackpink is heading to the US for a series of dates in Las Vegas. Other than a few festival and talk show appearances, this will mark the first time the K-Pop star has performed solo in the US. The four-show residency, at Las Vegas' 4,100-seat Colosseum at Caesars Palace, is dubbed Viva La Lisa, and is to be the first K-Pop residency of its kind. The concerts will take place over two weekends on the evenings of Friday 13, Saturday 14, Friday 27 and Saturday 28 November. The White Lotus Season Three star (she played resort wellness adviser Mook) released her debut solo album Alter Ego in February last year and performed some tracks from the record at the Coachella festival in April. Lisa rose to stardom as a member of Blackpink, who made their musical debut in August 2016 and became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. She is still a current member of the group alongside bandmates Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé. K-Pop continues to have a moment in the US and around the world, with many of the biggest names, including BTS, Twice, I-dle and Everglow, touring over the coming months.
