Kyle Falconer admires bungee View

The View lead singer Kyle Falconer has taken a 131ft jump to open the UK's first permanent bungee attraction.

Kyle plummeted from Garry Bridge in Perthshire in the launch jump at the Highland Fling Bungee.

The frontman of the Dundee-based group was joined by band mates Pete Reilly and Kieren Webster in the 50mph plunge over the River Garry near Pitlochry.

The Same Jeans singer described the jump in to the ravine, which is approximately the height of 10 double-decker buses, as "one of the best experiences".

He said: "That was mental. It's the craziest thing I've ever done.

"I've done a bungee jump before but it was over a crane in Austria. This, though, was brilliant.

"The location is great. We used to come here and camp when we were younger and jump into the water. I used to look up to the bridge but I never thought I'd be jumping off it. It was rocking. I'll definitely do it again."

A percentage of all jump fees will go towards the National Trust for Scotland's conservation work in the area, with the Trust acting as project partners.
