Alice Cooper: My 'brilliant' year

Alice Cooper believes today's bands don't get to last very long.

The bad boy of rock is about to release a new album, Welcome 2 My Nightmare, embark on a UK tour and play at festivals all over the world.

But the star, 63, said: "We're never going to have acts that are in the business for 40 plus years again, so people are taking notice of the ones that are still around.

"After the likes of Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Ozzy and I are gone, it won't happen.

"New bands, they do well to stay around for four years, let alone 40."

Alice Cooper has also just been inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

The singer said: "Everything that's going on this year is brilliant. Everyone's interested in Alice again. I'm having another second coming."
