Adele won't be toppled from chart

Adele is set to retain her place at the top of the charts - after she received a further boost with a Mercury Prize nomination.

Her album 21 reclaimed number one last week, with a 17th non-consecutive week at the top.

It's expected to stay at number one this weekend, according to The Official Charts Company, with Beyonce at number two and Adele's other album 19 at number three.

In the singles chart, The Wanted are set for second week at the top with Glad You Came.

Adele is a favourite to win this year's Barclaycard Mercury Prize, and will battle it out with two previous winners, PJ Harvey and Elbow, and nine other acts.
