Jackson back catalogue is hacked

Michael Jackson's entire back catalogue has been targeted by hackers.

Previously unreleased duets with Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am and the late Queen star Freddie Mercury were among the tracks taken in the cyber attack on record label Sony, according to The Sunday Times.

Two men were released on bail last week, charged with computer misuse offences after the theft of 50,000 files from the record label was traced to computers in the UK.

Tracks including previously unreleased material from his recording sessions for Bad, Off The Wall and Thriller were among the music taken.

Sony Music paid the late Michael Jackson's estate £156 million for the back catalogue last year, with plans to release 10 new albums of hits.

The first collection from it was released last year in the posthumous album Michael.
