Robbie backing X Factor's Rylan

Robbie Williams has revealed he is backing X Factor act Rylan Clark.

Wannabe pop star Rylan has divided the judges with his camp performances but it seems he has won over Candy singer Robbie, who has pledged his support by tweeting: "TEAM RYLAN ALL THE WAY VOTE RYLAN Robbie's backing @rylanclark on @TheXFactor... who's got your vote?"

Robbie, who is set to appear on the ITV talent show next week, also posted a message on his website urging fans to vote for Rylan.

The star's support for Rylan might not go down too well with his Take That bandmate Gary Barlow, who isn't a fan of the Essex hopeful.

Gary was left fuming when his act Carolynne Poole was controversially booted from the first live show after Rylan was saved in the public vote, and has made it clear that he isn't a fan.
