Flavor Flav to fight abuse charges

Flavor Flav intends to fight criminal domestic battery and assault charges and seek reconciliation with his longtime fiancee.

Defence lawyer Tony Abbatangelo appeared before a Las Vegas judge on behalf of the 53-year-old former rapper and reality TV star, whose name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr.

The judge scheduled an evidence hearing for November 20.

Drayton is accused of pushing his fiancee to the floor and wielding two knives as he chased and threatened her 17-year-old son during an argument last week at their home in Las Vegas, which led to his arrest.

Drayton could face up to six years in prison if convicted of felony assault and six months in jail on a misdemeanour domestic battery charge.
