NewsApril, 10 Buble Logies performance ridiculedMichael Buble has come under fire for his performance at Australian TV awards the Logies. The Canadian crooner performed his new single It's A Beautiful Day live at the high profile ceremony in Melbourne at the weekend, but his over enthusiastic heckling of host Richard Wilkins and his slightly off-beat performance, led to speculation he might have been a little the worse for wear. As Wilkins introduced Buble, saying: "He is one of the most successful recording and performing artists in the world," the singer shouted out "Gigantic!" Wilkins went on: "He has sold over 30 million albums," and the singer corrected: "Forty million records." Wilkins added: "And he is the sixth highest grossing touring act in the world," to which Buble shouted out "Fifth! Number five!" As Wilkins plugged his album, Buble shouted: "It's a must have!" The singer then began dancing energetically and launched into the opening lines of his song, sounding slightly off key, and adjusted his ear piece. The performance went on, sounding muffled and even slurred in places. Fans took to Twitter to speculate the singer was drunk and called his performance "shocking" and questioning what was wrong with him. One tweeter even commented "Shockingly bad" . But one Australian paper reported Buble sounded "great in the room, but terrible on television".
