NewsApril, 10 Jacko 'feared being shot on stage'Michael Jackson apparently feared being assassinated on stage and predicted his own death. The late King of Pop was so worried about guns in America that he chose to make his comeback in the UK, according to friend Jason Pfeiffer. Pfeiffer, who worked for the star's dermatologist, told The Sun: "He said the comeback was in England due to the gun laws there. That's why he ditched a US comeback as people had access to guns here and would shoot him. He thought America was too dangerous. "But he still had some fears that he would be shot on stage." Pfeiffer also suggested that the singer - who died of an overdose of prescription medications in June 2009, shortly before he was due to launch his comeback concerts - knew his own death was imminent. He said: "The last time I saw him he was saying his goodbyes to everyone in the office. "It was like he knew he was never coming back." But he said the star's drug problems were what caused his death. Pfeiffer was speaking as Michael's family begin a civil case seeking billions in damages from tour promoter AEG Live for the singer's wrongful death.
