Norton: support Eurovision Bonnie

Graham Norton says he can't predict how well Bonnie Tyler or any of the other singers will do at Eurovision.

The Irish comedian took over commentating from Terry Wogan in 2009 and will be guiding viewers through the Eurovision Song Contest again this year.

On the UK entry from Bonnie, Graham said: "The great thing about Eurovision is that you can't second guess it.

"People predict every year who they think will win and they always get it wrong.

"Good luck to her [Bonnie], I think we should all get behind her. We are one United Kingdom!"

Bonnie will be singing Believe In Me as the UK's bid for Eurovision success in this year's competition.

The Holding Out For A Hero singer recently told The Sun she had been approached to compete in Eurovision in 1983.

But with her single Total Eclipse Of The Heart riding high at the top of the American charts, she felt the timing was wrong.

Bonnie said: "But this is the perfect time. The BBC heard Believe In Me and thought it was an incredible opportunity for such a good song. I wasn't expecting such a reaction."

Last year veteran singer Engelbert Humperdinck failed to win glory for the UK, coming second last in Eurovision.
