NewsSeptember, 17 Killers to release 'Best Of' albumThe Killers have revealed they are planning to release their first greatest hits compilation, which would also feature two new songs. Direct Hits, which will be out on November 11, will include 15 tracks and new tunes - Just Another Girl and Shot At The Night - from the Las Vegas group, who recently played London's Wembley Stadium. Frontman Brandon Flowers told NME that the album marked another significant milestone for them, saying: "This record feels like a great way to clean everything up and move onto the next thing." While the "Best Of" compilation has been in talks since the beginning of 2013, the 32-year-old singer-songwriter admitted that he was unsure about the tracklist. "Writing new songs sort of threw me for a curveball. I'm always writing, it's like second nature to me now, but I'm always analysing what I've got, and doubts can start creeping into your head. But I'm really happy with the songs we've got to add to the list," he added. Direct Hits comes a decade after The Killers made their UK debut at London's Dublin Castle. "We were so excited about being on English soil for the first time that night. I remember falling on my a** during Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine, but NME gave the show a positive review, and that really helped to launch us," he recalled. The foursome, which also includes guitarist Dave Keuning, bassist Mark Stoermer and drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr, released their fourth album Battle Born in 2012.
