Brent and Burrows for super-group?

David Brent and Andy Burrows could be set for an unlikely partnership - as a new group.

Ricky Gervais' Office alter-ego and the former Razorlight drummer are rumoured to be embarking on a full UK tour and writing an album together, after they performed at London's Bloomsbury Theatre on October 14, reported the Daily Mirror.

Andy - who played the drums for Razorlight from 2004 to 2009, and has been drumming with We Are Scientists since then - played for Brent/Ricky's band Foregone Conclusion.

A source said: "He and Andy first met in 2008 on the Jonathan Ross Show and they have stayed in touch ever since. Andy was keen to get involved in the new album as soon as the idea was put to him."

Ricky played a ten-track set at the hour-long London gig, his first concert as David Brent and Foregone Conclusion. He sang an ode to David's hometown Slough, Lady Gypsy, Equality Street before closing with an encore of Free Love Freeway, which first debuted on series one of The Office.

The funnyman turned his hand to music in May, after reviving the character for BBC's Comic Relief. He then launched a musical web series, Learn Guitar With David Brent, which was his first recurring role as the Wernham Hogg boss since The Office ended in 2003.

David Brent and Foregone Conclusion have another show at London's Bloombury Theatre again on October 23.
