Spears: Britney Jean is family name

Britney Spears has said her new album title, Britney Jean, was inspired by a family nickname.

The Toxic singer, who is a big fan of Michael Jackson, told Capital FM that the album's name had a personal meaning for her.

She said: "It's a personal album, and all my family, they always call me Britney Jean. It's like a term of endearment, and I just wanted to share that with my fans."

Britney also said she was excited about her upcoming Las Vegas residency.

"I'm really stoked about it. I've toured the world so many times and had been in different hotels every night. It's going to be nice just to have one place to be at for my children and my family. A tour based in one place just seems ideal," she said.

Currently in London, Britney took a sightseeing tour of the capital on a double decker red bus and also conducted press interviews on board.

She wore a white sparkly jacket for her day out in London, but sheltered from the rainy weather on the lower deck of the bus.
