Blige to sing at World Series game

Mary J Blige will sing the US national anthem before Game One of the World Series.

The St. Louis Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox open the baseball tournament on Wednesday night (October 23) at Fenway Park.

Blige also performed The Star-Spangled Banner before Game 6 of the 2009 World Series between Philadelphia and the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium.

Earlier this month, Blige released her first holiday album, A Mary Christmas.
