The chart-topping boyband, comprising of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, have been nominated for three awards including Best Pop, Biggest Fans and Best UK and Ireland Act. Styles' fashion sense has been recognised, with the 19-year-old also up for Best Look, alongside Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Rita Ora. Rudimental are also up for three nominations, including Best New Act and Best UK and Ireland Act. Timberlake and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis lead the nominations with five apiece, followed by Lady Gaga, Robin Thicke, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus with four nods each. US rapper Eminem is set to be honoured with the Global Icon prize on the night, which he will receive in person. Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Snoop Dogg, Miley Cyrus and Kings Of Leon are on the bill to perform at the star-studded ceremony, which will be hosted by LMFAO's Redfoo. The singer revealed he is most excited about Cyrus's performance. She has previously made headlines for "twerking" in a skin-coloured latex bikini with Robin Thicke at the MTV Video Music Awards. "I want to see what she's going to do. I haven't seen her in rehearsals because I want to be just as shocked as everyone else," he said. The MTV EMAs, which will be broadcast live on MTV channels, are taking place at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
