NewsNovember, 14 Bowie unveils high-tech new videoDavid Bowie has released a second, more lavish video for his latest single. The previous video for Love Is Lost, which was premiered at the Mercury Prize ceremony last month, cost the singer just £8.08 to make. The new video, for the 10-minute James Murphy remix of the track on Bowie's updated album release The Next Day Extra, features a naked couple kissing as well as a series of high-tech special effects. The video sees a virtual world created with digital effects and a naked couple begin to emerge, as if created on a 3D printer, who kiss and fondle each other. The first video featured Bowie in the dark corridor of his New York office. He shot it with the help of his assistant and his best friend using a home video camera and items from his archive, the only expense being a USB stick on which to download it afterwards which cost £8.08.
