Joel in Madison Square Garden gigs

Billy Joel has promised that he will perform once a month at Madison Square Garden - if fans will have him.

The singer announced that he planned to perform at the famous New York venue once a month for as many months as his fans demanded.

He is set to perform sold-out shows on January 27, February 3, March 21 and April 28 next year at the venue, and he will also perform on his 65th birthday, which is on May 9.

Billy said in a statement that "there's no place like coming home to The Garden."

Born in the Bronx, New York, Billy first performed at Madison Square Garden in 1978.
