Spears 'thought about' retirement

Britney Spears has admitted she has considered retiring.

The pop princess - who is about to start her two-year residency at Planet Hollywood Resort And Casino in Las Vegas - told E! News that she has thought about hanging up her mic but that it isn't time for her to close the curtains on her career yet.

She said: "I have thought about it, but I think right now is my time to perform and be doing what I'm doing."

Mum-of-two Britney also hinted that she might have another baby in the future, as she explained that if she expanded her family she would probably leave Los Angeles.

The singer - who is dating lawyer David Lucado - said: "If I happen to have another baby or something like that, I'd probably move back to Louisiana. I do miss Louisiana. I miss the people. I miss the food. I miss the way of life, how everything is really simple. There's no traffic like there is in LA. It's really nice."

Britney, 32, starts her Vegas residency after Christmas.
