Jacko comes alive for Gaga video

Lady Gaga has appeared to resurrect Michael Jackson in her latest music video.

The video - a medley of Artpop, Venus, Manicure and her new single G.U.Y - features a lookalike of the late King of Pop wearing an outfit from the Dangerous tour, along with Jesus Christ and Gandhi impersonators, in one scene for G.U.Y, reported Entertainment Weekly.

The 11-minute-long "conceptual short film", which debuted on the singer's VEVO channel on March 22, opens with Gaga dressed as a condor, shot down by an arrow on Artpop before receiving a water burial. The 27-year-old later dons a white swimsuit and Donatella Versace-style white wig for Venus and the opening of G.U.Y (Girl Under You), featuring appearances by reality TV stars Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards.

"Thank you so much everyone for making my new single release so memorable! If U haven't yet, WATCH 'G.U.Y.," she tweeted.

Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, later wrote: "That thank you trend was really sweet and made me smile so much. Thank you monsters, I made it for you!"

The end credits, which run over four minutes, give shout-outs to all the 'Lifeguards', 'Male Models/Clones', and 11 'Historic Maintenance' experts, with her masseuse Marie Escudero even getting a mention.

Directed by Gaga herself, the video was shot in February at Hearst Castle in San Simeon, California. Her new single G.U.Y will be released on May 12.
