Linkin Park inducted into Rock Walk

Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington's can't wait to show his children the band's handprints on the Rock Walk in Los Angeles.

The In The End rockers - Chester, Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn and Mike Shinoda - admitted their pride as they were inducted into the Rock Walk at Guitar Centre on Sunset Boulevard.

Chester - who has six children from several relationships - said: "I definitely thikn it would be fun to bring my kids down and show them this kind of thing because it's an interesting thing that not everybody gets to be a part of and it's fun for them to see me in a different way.

"I think my eight-year-old son truly believes that I'm a superhero - because that's what I told him!"

The 38-year-old singer told how special it felt to see his prints on the Rock Walk - which he visited when he was starting out in the music business.

He said: "For me in particular this spot in LA, this strip, really means a lot to me personally . It was the very first place I met these guys [the band] it was the place I sat outside of Zomba music publishing at eight o'clock in the morning, because I thought that's when businesses open.

"Apparently everywhere else in the world, that's when businesses open, but no-one showed up until like 11.30am and that's when I realised that things were going to be a lot different.

"It's kind of strange to see our names next to other great artists who are also in the Rock Walk, but we're not going to be complaining about being there next to them!"
