1D ‘plan 2016 break’

One Direction will apparently take a break next year.

It's been a rollercoaster ride for the band since Zayn Malik announced his departure in March, leaving Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne to continue their current tour as a four-piece.

Unsurprisingly it's all caught up with them, and a source claims they will take a step back as soon as possible.

“The band are to go on a break after promoting the fifth album next year, possibly with a number of live tour dates around the world," the insider divulged to British newspaper The Sun.

“Simon Cowell is supportive of what they need to do because he wants the band to stay together in some form for a very long time.

“They have been working non-stop for five years, sold millions of albums and become some of the biggest celebrities in the world. At some point they have to take time off to step back and consider what they want to do next.

“What’s almost certain is there will be no 1D music next year.”

Since Zayn left the band claiming he wanted to enjoy life as a "normal 22 year old", people have been speculating who will be next to throw in the towel.

According to a music insider, the alleged impending break could really get the ball rolling.

“The reality is that once a boyband takes a break, it’s often the beginning of the end. They’re adults now and have their own interests," the source said.

“Niall, Louis and Liam would want to get back together after the break but the big question mark is over Harry, who has lots of options.”

However, the boys have all claimed they are staying focused on One Direction and their upcoming album.
