Courteney Cox 'wants Johnny to stay in LA'

Courteney Cox is reportedly begging her beau Johnny McDaid to remain in America, amid rumours he wants to return to the U.K.

The former Friends star and Snow Patrol musician ended their 18-month long engagement at the end of 2015, but Courteney's representative recently confirmed they've reunited after they were spotted out together. It's thought the pair are trying to work out their differences, but Courteney has been hit hard by Irish-born Johnny's desire to move to London, U.K.

"Johnny dropped the bombshell that he's done with Los Angeles and wants to move back to the U.K.," an insider told Britain's Closer magazine. "He's prepared to give their relationship another go if Courteney joins him, but she insists she can't uproot Coco (her daughter from her marriage to David Arquette). Courteney has begged Johnny to reconsider and they can buy a U.K. home and live there for three months of the year."

The source added that the couple "never stopped loving" each other and they had remained in touch since their breakup last year (15). But now things appear to be strained again, Courteney is apparently turning to musical friend Ed Sheeran, who introduced the pair, for help in keeping her boyfriend close.

"Courteney is hoping Ed can talk some sense into Johnny and help them reach a compromise," the source said. "She doesn't want to risk losing Johnny again."

Their reconciliation comes after rumours that Johnny was dating Irish celebrity reporter and blogger Meghann, 23, who also lives in Los Angeles. However, his publicist quickly shot down these claims by noting the musician hadn't dated anyone since his split from Courteney.

Closer magazine previously reported 2016 would be a year of reviving their relationship, and it's thought the couple have trips planned to reignite the spark.
