Victoria Beckham: 'My kids are proud of their Spice Girl mum'

Victoria Beckham educated her children about her Spice Girls days by watching Spice World with them.

The 42-year-old became a household name thanks to her role as Posh Spice within the world-famous hit ‘90s girl group. While those days are far behind her, with Victoria now better known for her fashion creations than her singing, she has ensured her four children are aware of just how famous their mother was by showing them the band's 1997 movie.

"They know the Spice Girls. They know that mummy wore heels and did the pout and point,” Victoria laughed during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Monday night (12Sep16). "They’re proud. We’ve watched the movie (Spice World) together."

Despite Victoria reminiscing fondly about her time with the group, she and bandmate Mel C have declined to take part in the upcoming reunion to celebrate 20 years since the release of the Spice Girls' debut single Wannabe.

Victoria is mother to Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and five-year-old Harper with husband David. The former singer made no secret of her desire to have a daughter after three sons, and told host Seth she was delighted when baby Harper made her grand entrance.

“It was so great to have a girl, and the boys are so great with her, and David is such a great dad,” Victoria gushed. “It’s so cute to see him with a little girl. She’s so great. She’s a little tomboy playing in the garden with her brothers, playing football, and David as well, but she’s also very girly. She loves to play with make-up. She has been able to run in a pair of high heels for a long time. I’m so proud."

While Harper is too young to have decided what career field she wants to get into, the couple are also parents to three very talented young sons.

Brooklyn has been making waves as a photographer while Romeo has modelled for the likes of Burberry. But it's Cruz who has been hitting the headlines in recent months, thanks to the videos of him singing that his parents have posted on their social media pages.

“He’s so musical, Cruz. We didn’t even realise that he could sing,” Victoria laughed. “He was always the one who plays football. He was just sitting in the back of the car one day and he was singing, and I was like, ‘Wow, you can really sing!’”

She added of her talented brood: "We are like a travelling circus, our family. We sing, we dance, we do football, we do fashion!”
