Hear'Say cancel 20th-anniversary reunion plans - report

Hear'Say have reportedly cancelled their 20th-anniversary reunion plans.

It was reported in November last year that Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw, Noel Sullivan, and Danny Foster were planning to reunite without their bandmate Myleene Klass for a tour to mark the 20th-anniversary of the group's creation on TV talent show Popstars.

However, reunion plans have reportedly failed to materialise and the former bandmates have put the idea on the backburner as a result of Covid-19 delays and Marsh caring for her sick father, who is battling incurable prostate cancer.

"A Hear'Say reunion would be really fun but these things take a lot of planning and hard work," a source told The Sun newspaper. "Covid put a dampener on it because they couldn't even start thinking about putting their plans into action until restrictions eased.

"But now Kym is completely consumed with spending time with her father Dave after he was diagnosed with incurable cancer. He has to be her priority right now and the other members completely respect and understand that.

"Unfortunately for their fans it just doesn't look like it's going to happen. Perhaps at some point in the future it could, but right now it's off the cards."

Hear'Say achieved instant fame when they were put together on Popstars in 2001 and they broke chart records with their debut single Pure and Simple but their success was short-lived. Marsh quit less than a year later and the group went on to announce their split in October 2002.
