NewsFebruary, 12 Madonna praises Sabrina Carpenter's debut Vogue cover![]() Madonna has given her seal of approval to Sabrina Carpenter's debut Vogue cover photoshoot. On Tuesday, the Espresso hitmaker was unveiled as the star of the March 2025 issue of the U.S. fashion publication, with the cover image depicting her posing in an ice-blue satin cone bra corset minidress from Dolce & Gabbana. Photographed by frequent Madonna collaborator Steven Meisel, many fans were quick to point out that Sabrina's photoshoot was reminiscent of the Material Girl hitmaker's 1991 cover story for Vanity Fair in which she channelled Marilyn Monroe. In response, the Queen of Pop praised the concept in the comments section of a Vogue post on Instagram. "Is this a Valentines present to me?" she asked. A number of other celebrities lauded the photoshoot too, with Lily Collins writing, "Omg this is amazing," and Heidi Klum exclaiming, "Wow." Previously, Sabrina paid homage to Madonna when she wore a white sequin Bob Mackie gown to the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards last September. The Holiday singer first wore the dress to the Academy Awards in 1991. And in her interview for Vogue, Sabrina explained that she was inspired by a number of women when she was recording her sixth studio album, Short n' Sweet. "(I was) feeling inspired by images of women that felt very strong and hyperfeminine. And then being like: 'If only she said what she was actually thinking,'" the 25-year-old recalled.
