Neil Young to headline 2025 BST Hyde Park

Neil Young is set to headline London's BST Hyde Park festival this summer.

The Canadian singer-songwriter has been announced as the latest headliner for this year's edition of the summer music festival, which takes place over several weekends in June and July in London's Hyde Park.

Neil will take to the stage on 11 July to perform some of his greatest hits with his band Chrome Hearts.

The 79-year-old will also be joined by support acts Yusuf/Cat Stevens and Van Morrison, with more acts to be announced later.

The announcement comes a week after it was revealed that Sabrina Carpenter will perform two nights in a row at the British festival after Hugh Jackman pulled out of his headline slot due to a scheduling conflict.

The 2025 BST Hyde Park line-up also includes Olivia Rodrigo, Noah Kahan, Zach Bryan and Jeff Lynne's ELO.

The performance will follow Neil's headline slot at Glastonbury, which will see him return to the iconic Pyramid stage for the first time since 2009.

Earlier this year, the Heart of Gold hitmaker wrote on his website that he and his band were pulling out of the festival because of the BBC's involvement. But he swiftly reversed his decision, claiming he made his original statement due to "an error in the information I received".

The musician is due to kick off his latest tour, Love Earth, in Rättvik, Sweden, on 18 June and will continue across Europe, including a stop at Glastonbury between 27 and 29 June.

He will begin the North American leg of the tour in Charlotte, North Carolina, on 8 August before wrapping up in Los Angeles on 15 September.
