Sara Evans to be a grandmother

Sara Evans is getting ready to be a grandma.

The country music singer and songwriter's daughter, Audrey Schelske, is pregnant, expecting her first baby with her boyfriend, John Headley.

Evans told People magazine that she is "already so in love" with the bundle of joy, who will be the Grand Ole Opry member's first grandchild, set to join the family in the autumn.

"Words cannot express how excited and happy I am for Audrey and John," she shared. "I am already so in love with my grandchild and can't wait to meet the little angel! God is so amazing!"

Schelske was the one to announce the exciting news.

"We are beyond joyful and deeply grateful to God for this incredible blessing," she shared.

"I am honoured to step into motherhood and embrace everything that comes with it. We feel so lucky to have such a tight-knit family who we know will surround us - John, the baby, and me - with endless love and support."

Schelske's sister Olivia also expressed her excitement for the new addition to the family.

"I'm so happy to have the opportunity to love, spoil, and cherish this baby, my soon-to-be new bestie."

No Place That Far singer Evans has had five songs reach the number one spot on the Billboard country songs chart and has sold over six million albums.
