Ed Sheeran reveals he's been invited to Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's wedding

Ed Sheeran has let slip that he's been invited to Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's wedding.

The singer and music producer previously insisted in interviews that they haven't begun planning their wedding yet, however, their close friend Ed has now indicated their nuptials may be happening sooner than expected as they've already sent out invites.

While taking a lie detector test for Vanity Fair, the British singer-songwriter was asked if he'd been invited to their wedding yet and he nodded and simply said, "Mm-hmm."

The Thinking Out Loud star also confirmed that Benny attended his wedding when he got married to Cherry Seaborn in January 2019.

Selena and Benny got engaged in December after 18 months of dating. During joint interviews for their collaborative album I Said I Love You First in March, they insisted that they hadn't started wedding planning as they'd been busy making the record.

Ed and Benny have worked together several times. They collaborated on Ed's 2014 and 2017 smash hit albums Multiply and Divide and co-wrote Justin Bieber's Love Yourself, among other tracks.

During the lie detector test, the Shape of You star admitted he hadn't listened to I Said I Love You First yet, saying, "I gotta be honest, I bought it on vinyl, and I wanna listen to it on vinyl. I haven't listened to it the whole way through."

Ed also reflected on his and Benny's improved appearance over the years by candidly sharing, "He looks like he smells really nice now. Whereas back in the day, he still smelt nice but he didn't look like he smelt nice. I think I was in the same boat. We both looked like we wouldn't be able to do perfume campaigns."
