NewsJune, 12 JoJo Siwa hits back at Miley Cyrus after sexuality joke![]() JoJo Siwa has hit back at Miley after she joked about her sexuality. The former Dance Moms star has addressed Miley's recent comment about her romance with Love Island star Chris Hughes. During a World Pride event earlier this week, Miley said in a video message, "Enjoy coming out of the closet if this Pride is the time for you," before joking, "Alright, I'm going back to get some more pretzels and find JoJo Siwa and bring her back out (of the closet)." JoJo, who identifies as queer, and Chris sparked romance speculation after appearing together on Celebrity Big Brother in April. At the time of entering the Big Brother house, JoJo was in a relationship with Kath Ebbs, but the two have since parted ways. In response to Miley's remark, JoJo shared a lengthy caption and a childhood photo of herself at a "Miley themed party" on Instagram. "I was happy at my 5th birthday having a Miley themed party, and I'm still happy now at 22," she wrote. "If you know me, you know that Miley is my day one I grew up beyond inspired by her from two years old." JoJo then explained that she had taken some time to think about the Wrecking Ball singer's remarks. "I don't believe what Miley said at world pride was ill intended, honestly I think it was meant to be a joke, but just not very good one haha," she penned. "Not what the world, or myself needs to hear anyday of the week." The singer also revealed that she had decided to reach out to the former Disney star, sharing, "I messaged miley light heartedly about it and she replied and said 'All love. Always.'" JoJo went on to encourage her fans to be themselves. "Honestly, the most beautiful thing I've learned in the last five years is that love is a gorgeous rainbow," the 22-year-old shared. "Don't question yourself, don't second guess yourself, just love. Love, love, love, love, love." She added, "People judge no matter what, and it can be very hard, especially when it comes from someone you love and look up to."
