Band want to work with Beastie Boys

Far East Movement have revealed they would love to collaborate with the Beastie Boys.

The LA group samples the Beastie Boys hit, So What'cha Want, in their new single So What, and would like to get Mike D (Michael Diamond), MCA (Adam Yauch), and Ad-Rock (Adam Horovitz) in the recording studio.

"We want to work with the Beastie Boys. We just released our new single and we sampled the Beastie Boys, so actually, getting some vocals with them in the studio would be great. That'll be it," said Prohgress, whose real name is James Roh.

His bandmate Kev Nish, whose real name is Kevin Nishimura, added: "They've been that group that has pushed down the barriers in culture and music and visuals, so they are a huge inspiration to us and the way we rock."

Following the release of their major debut album Free Wired, Far East Movement, who played on the opening day of the Wireless festival, are currently working on a new album.

"We just got in the studio with David Guetta, Benny Benassi. We are working on all types of new music," said Kev.

"We are headed on tour with Lil Wayne for a 41-city tour of the US and we are bringing a bus with us, that has a recording studio in it, so we can finish up new material. And we shall see what happens."
