BGT singer brothers top album chart

They may have finished third in the final of this year's Britain's Got Talent, but Richard and Adam Johnson have gone straight in at the top in this week's album chart.

The brothers from Holywell, North Wales, knocked X Factor star Jahmene Douglas off the number one spot with their debut album, The Impossible Dream.

Douglas' Love Never Fails fell one place to number two in the list from the Official Charts Company, while the top five was completed by Passenger's All The Little Lights, Jay Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail, and Rod Stewart's Time.

The record buying public's love affair with Avicii showed no sign of letting up as Wake Me Up spent its third consecutive week at number one on the singles chart.

The Swedish DJ and producer scored the fastest selling single of 2013 so far when the track clocked up nearly 267,000 sales during its first week of release. Since then, it has continued to sell in excess of 120,000 copies per week, and has now gone through the half-a-million mark, with an overall sales tally of 545,000 copies.

John Newman's former chart topper, Love Me Again, climbed two places to number two, while Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines stayed at three. Lana Del Rey's Summertime Sadness shot up 28 places to number four helped by French DJ Cedric Gervais' remix, while One Direction's Best Song Ever slipped from two to five.
