Big Sean: Naya approved Ashley song

Big Sean has revealed girlfriend Naya Rivera gave him her approval to include the tribute song he wrote about his ex on his new album.

The rapper - who began dating the Glee star earlier this year - wrote apologetic and heartfelt track Ashley about his high school sweetheart Ashley Marie who he split-up from at the beginning of 2013 after six years together.

Big Sean said: "I played it for Naya and she loved it, so I had nothing to worry about on that end. It's a true song. I'm not going to just change that because of what's going on. It's a good song."

The Finally Famous star - real name Sean Anderson - has also collaborated with Naya, who plays Santana in Glee, on her song Sorry.

He admitted he is adjusting to dating someone in the spotlight.

"It's definitely something new for me and her. I don't look at her as my famous girlfriend, I look at her as my girlfriend... it's just our jobs. It's my job to rap and it's her job to sing and act and stuff," he said.
