Britney to record in Lake District?

Britney Spears is said to be heading to the Lake District to work on her new album.

The remote northern landscape has inspired some of Britain's great writers, including William Wordsworth, John Ruskin and Beatrix Potter.

And now The Sun reports it is to inspire the Oops!... I Did It Again singer as producer Naughty Boy is planning to take her there on a trip.

Britney is coming to the UK to work with the British-born Pakistani R 'n' B star in a studio in London, but Naughty Boy is apparently keen to take her to see the beautiful National Park during her stay.

Meanwhile, the songwriter told Digital Spy how excited he is to work with the Toxic star, who he believes still has an incredible influence on pop.

Naughty Boy said: "It was William Orbit who approached me to work on it and he is involved in the album. I'm just really excited about working with him as well as Britney.

"We've just started working on tracks for her until the studio session.

"Britney is one of the few who can really change the pop scene with what she does. Those are the things that excite me; what can you do with popular culture?"
