Bateman chuffed with Mumford gig

Jason Bateman has revealed that his latest portrayal of Mumford And Sons' Winston Marshall is one of his "proudest" moments.

The Arrested Development star impersonates the banjo-playing guitarist, alongside Jason Sudeikis as frontman Marcus Mumford, Ed Helms as keyboardist Ben Lovett and Will Forte as bassist Ted Dwane in the music video for the British band's new single Hopeless Wanderer.

"Getting a chance to pretend I'm a rock star was the proudest I've been of myself while awake," Jason said.

The Hangover actor Ed added: "We had an absolute blast shooting this video and the final product only confirms what I felt going in - thank God we're a fake band.

"We're so grateful to be a successful fake band. It's been years of fake dedication and fake hard work to get here, and I really believe we are at the forefront of abject fraudulence."

The tongue-in-cheek music video was directed by Sam Jones.

The group joked: "A massive pair of thumbs-up to Sam Jones for directing and his cast of young budding actors. We're sure they all have bright futures ahead of them."

Hopeless Wanderer, taken from the band's second album Babel, will be released on September 16.
