DJ Fresh to tour without his band

DJ Fresh has said he will be taking a break from his band to go solo for at least a year.

The Hot Right Now DJ said he wanted to tour more on his own and let his fans see him.

Speaking in the Virgin Media Louder Lounge at the V Festival, he said: "V is the third to last festival we'll be playing as a band and after that I'm taking a break to do some DJing.

"It's really difficult to take a band all over the world. People want to see me on stage and people are like 'Where are you?' because I'm stood behind a keyboard, hidden."

He said it would be hard to leave his band at the end of the summer: "It's emotional, especially for the rest of the band. It's kind of sad for everyone."
