Rudimental draft in extra security

Rudimental have said their music has taken off so much in the past year that they needed extra security guards for their V Festival performance.

The 85-strong security team arrived with Rudimental to their DJ set at the festival's Our House stage and warned the act they would cut short their set if their fans got too excited.

The group's Amir Amor said: "There are 85 of them and they said if it gets too crazy they're going to shut us down and turn the music off.

"We said you're going to need 85 security guards to get us to turn it off."

Rudimental also played the 4Music Stage at V Festival earlier in the day.

Amir, speaking in Virgin Media's Louder Lounge, said: "We get called [the hardest working act at the festival] so many times and I'm starting to believe it.

"We've been working hard for years now but things have really taken off in the past year. Feel The Love opened a lot of doors for us."
