NewsSeptember, 12 Kings Of Leon's Sex On Fire encoreKings Of Leon proved they have gotten over their frustration with Sex On Fire, as they closed their latest show with their biggest hit. The band previously admitted they had considered giving up performing the track live after noticing that some gig-goers left as soon as it was played. But it would appear they had found a way around this - as they finished their encore at the iTunes Festival gig with the number one song. The Nashville quartet - made up of brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared and their cousin Matthew Followill - also praised their British supporters, as they played a rousing set at the Roundhouse in Camden, north London, which was part of the 2013 iTunes Festival. Frontman Caleb told them: "You're the best fans in the world. We really appreciate the support you guys have given us." After kicking off their set with latest single Supersoaker, he told the audience: "Thank you very much for having us here, we're very happy to be here. "What a beautiful place," he added, referring to the unusual circular performance space. "I know this is for iTunes but we're just gonna pretend like this is a real concert." The Grammy award-winning band showcased some new material from their sixth album, Mechanical Bull, which will be released on September 24. The energetic audience cheered and clapped along as the four-piece, who were formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 1999, also belted out many of their old classics including Use Somebody, Notion and On Call. And as they closed their show, Caleb thanked the fans for their support again, saying: "We wouldn't be here without it, you're the best fans in the world." Lady Gaga opened the iTunes Festival on September 1, while Katy Perry will close the series on September 30.
